Dance Recital 2009

WOW what a weekend! I volunteered this year with the recital... It was an 17 hour day! My job was to gather all these kiddies ranging from 3 to 18 and have them line up according to the line up, well there were 41 performances.. Aye Curumba is right! Hillary assisted Mandi (one of are favorite dance teachers) during the matinee, so she also worked her tail off.. Then she put on an AWESOME performance! Those hips were a shaking and she was a smiling!! I get all welled up with tears watching my girls perform, even if it is hip-hop..lol :) So Hills had a tap and hip-hop performance and Kassi had a tap dance.. Then afterwards Monica took some amazing pics at an empty parking lot with very cool confetti.. JK I kept calling it that.. What I meant was Graffiti! DURH!
Anyways I will be posting some more pics that I captured during the day as soon as I get them.. I got to play photographer with someone elses nice camera, it was fun, too bad I didnt know how to use all its functions.. :)

Washington Coast

Is that heaven peaking from the sky?

So this is an old post that should have been done in april-may.. HA!

We went to watch Travis Pastrana, Ken Block and many others.. They were racing on logging roads on the coast of Washington, We drove down the whole coast, what a great drive... when you watch the races, you stand behind the yellow tape on the ledge of the road.. You actually only see them for a few seconds as they whip by filling the air with a ton of DUST! If your lucky they may spackle you with rocks as they rip by. Then in May we went down to Portland to watch them race in and around the area.. I got my picture with Travis Pastrana and his autograph.. woot woot! Another year until we go again.. I think I will wear a mask next year! :) So my pictures are all backwards, but afterwards we went and saw some of my family , here are some pics! I also posted a video of Travis racing so you get the jist.. is that a word jist?

Mothers Day!

Puyallup River

Tyler the Snake Trainer

Our Walk.. Love the walk along the Puyallup River..

After Church.. They are gettin so BIG!
A Word of Encouragement:

Before I was a Mom-I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom-I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom-I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom-I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom-I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom-I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Thanks Bre! I had to copy this.. what a great poem, It brought tears to my eyes... I need to be reminded of the glory of motherhood. :) So on Mothers day we went to church and afterwards went for a walk on the river, it was nice.. I had spoken to Trea and he was also at the river in Arizona. So at the same time we skipped rocks and thought of eacother.. awhh how sweet! Love all my babies..

Lazy Days!!!

I need to blog more, but I have been much too lazy.. So Over the next few days I will be catching up. Well there is only 22 days Of actual school left! You would think both my kids would be ecstatic, but Hillary does not want it to end....? She will miss her friends.. Yep she is getting older.. Since my last post we have been to 2 Rally Races.. I will post pics later.. All I can say is DUSTY! Tyler has finally agreed to a haircut so this weekend that will get done and I'l be sure to take pics.. May be the last of his locks.. :(

Kassidys last day in Pre-school

Kassidy had her last day on Friday.. She is so excited for Kindergarten especially getting on the bus with her big brother and sister..

Britney Spears Concert!!!

I'm a little late on posting our Britney EXPERIENCE! But man oh man did we have fun. We parked in Puyallup and rode the sounder to the Tacoma Dome. We went with our friends Teri & Aunzane, Hillary and Aunzane take dance together so this was a perfect match.. Hillary was in shock she had never seen so many people... There were major fans... We were in General Admission (Standing only) We were right behind the VIPS against a HUGE speaker, so the vibration was unreal.. We were 10 feet from her, it was crazy. Britney did a fantastic job she is a true entertainer.. I'm pretty sure she was lip syncing, but you can't dance that much and sing too. We did'nt make it home till 12:30 am and Hillary was like can I stay home from school tomorrow? YEAH RIGHT! she went to school with a Britney hangover.. LOL ! Thanks Hills for making a great mother daughter/ Birthday date! Lets do it again! WOOT WOOT!

PussyCat Dolls!
